Manhattan Fish Market
Wednesday, May 16th, 2007Manhattan Fish Market. That’s where i took my lunch yesterday. It would have been posting this blog yesterday but it slip off mind, else its today instead of yesterday. Of cause, didnt have enough time to finish my lunch, so we took more than what is given to us. I mean, 45 mins for lunch? That’s ridiculous. Get real. How do you expect us to finish on time? With the lousy canteen’s food (sorry to be honest), we were left no choise but to have it outside. So what if we were back late? Big deal.
Back to Manhattan Fish Market. The name itself explains how grand it would be (just before you step in). Manhattan may not have the best atmosphere of all, but at least it fit into the shopping mall. Dishes are not bad. Proportion wise, large. Services are nice. Location, easy to be found. And for GOD sake, they even greet you when you leave. Breeks?
Personally, i felt its a twins of Fish and Co. at Gurney. Frying pan? Chilly, mayonnaise, and garlic? So called wooden-plate? Fork and knife? Gosh, where is the orginality? To me, they even fail to mimic from the motherland. Say if they try to make a difference, that’s fine, but it was way below par. The cups that they use are even a pain in the @$$… ops, pain in the eyes. GOD knows of they are from the same boss.
I’ll rate 6 out of 10. Maybe. Probably too kind i guess. I mean, what would attract you to dine there for the next time, besides the nice "Manhattan Fish Market" in front of the shop? Shoot me. Honestly speaking, the only thing that i like about the place is the name of the shop. Unique in its own way. On second thought, i’ll go for Fish and Co.. Anybody with me?
Guess im more towards realism than idealism. More towards original than spicy. Two thumbs up for Fish and Co. and as for Manhattan Fish Market, my apology, not in the list. How cruel…
