I’m Home…

Sunday, September 30th, 2007

Evening approaches as she began her daily laundry. Gathering the clothes; she starts to iron them. Straightening the wrinkles from the shirt; erasing the aftermath from the washing machine. Never in her life she regrets doing them. Believing those were her responsibility and commitment towards the family. In fact, she enjoys it.

She smiles a litle. "Nice taste he have there", she whispers to herself. That shirt was newly brought by his son, Sean. Not from any famous or expensive brand, but rather affordable with nice design. It’s like finding a needle in a stack of hay. Perhaps a little over elaborating.

Looking back, he’s now all grown up. No longer a crybaby that needed spoon-feed. Able to judge on what’s right and not; responsible for his own actions. Working in a local company with an impressive salary. Regardless on how old he is, to her mom, he’s still a kid.

However, he’s still single at the moment. Like every parents dream, she wishes to see her son building a family of his own.

"Mom…", a voice suddenly appear in the living room. That was Sean, wearing grey long sleeves turtle neck attire matching a dark cargo pants. He added, "I’m going off for movie with Jane."

She said happily, "Dating? When are you gonna bring her home? Dont be shy ba, you are"

It’s not much of a surprise to her as she’s been expecting it. Saturday is the usual night out for him. She wont interrupt her son’s social life as long as he doesn’t indulge himself with danger. Or anything that could possibly harm himself.

He instantly replies, "We are just normal friend. By the way, im gonna be late tonight, so dont stay up and wait for me. Okay, im going off, she’s waiting. Bye mom"

"Everything begins with a friendship. Just like your dad and me. Enjoy your night. Drive safely and take care"

Putting on his favourite white sporty shoe, he’s off from his house. Sliding into he car; playing his favourite album; he drove off to fetch her.

It’s 2.30 in the morning. But still no sign of him coming home. Instead on hitting his son advise earlier on, she, like always stay up and wait for him to got home safely. For she cant have a good sleep worrying about her son. Unlike her, her husband was already in slumberland. Facing the television, switching from one channel to the other channel, there isn’t any program that could interest her.

A slight glance at the clock hung in the dining hall, its approaching 3.

Picking up the phone, she gave him a call. Reminding him about the time. To her delight he response, "Im now home, just outside the house."

Moments later, she could hear the sound of the key unlocking the lock and opening the gate. Follow closely by the sound of locking the gate. After a while, the door still wasnt open. Thinking the he might be having difficulties, she moves towards to open the door to welcome him home.

When the door is open, there wasnt anyone there. Silence. Except for the wind chime playing its own melody between the gate and the door. But where is he? "Is the a joke?" she question herself. Upon dialing his cellphone again, she saw his shoe on the rack at the living room. That was the shoe that he wore just now. No doubt it is. It wasnt there just now. He wore it and how can it be displayed at the rack? No sign of any foul play.

"Tooot, tooot… tooot, tooot", was all she heard on her cellphone. She called again, and recieved the same response. No one is picking up.

Sean walks towards her mom from behind and said, "Mom, im home"

She didn’t notice him. Perhaps he has already expected it.

Again, "Im home…"

I Wanna Go Home

Listening to Michael Buble - Home

It freaking cold here. Much colder from there i used to be in. No where absurd, just in office. It’s the routine month end support that got me stuck up here.

But im indeed thankful to have my friends to accompany me even if its just part of the night. Whether its from online, sms or colleague; at least i dont have to struggle and cough my way through it alone. Else it would be one deadly boring night. Its now approximately 2 1/2 hours more before i could head over for dim sum. Till then,

"Another summer day,

Has come and gone away,

In Paris and Rome,

But i wanna go home."

Listening to Rainie Yang - Wan Mei Bi Li

"Dont you guys have anything better to do like… SLEEP?", was the common question that most of us would get today.

Its been quite sometime since i wake up so early. Its 4.15am when my alarm clock ring me up. The sky’s still dark as usual; accompanied by the cool wind that would send chill to your spine. Eyes are tired, so as the body. But whats more tempting then watching the SUNRISE? We’ve seen the sunset, so nows the sunrise.

Gathered at my friend’s house at 5am… wow, that is really one darn early morning. The usual spot at Macallum Street no longer permit us for the morning sight. Thus, we turned to Esplanade. In the end, it wasn’t quite a view as the mist took the honor to block the morning sun (since it rain at that night). Nothing much we could see; but i guess its worth while in the end, considering we enjoyed the morning.

Apart from that, it was quite an adventure looking for a public toilet in the wee morning. LOL. Dim sum for breakfast, then back to sleep.

I guess we’ve done the sunrise. Next on the list would be shooting stars? Or meteor shower? Though i have a great feeling that we would probably go for a second sunrise. Till then…

Here im, blogging again.
Listening to Henley Xu  & Orange - Wo Men Gou Gou Shou.

Ever experience an outcome where you suddenly have nothing to hold on or to grab upon? Like rely on a medium so much that and off a sudden when it’s not there, you felt its hard to be independent again. For instance, me. Glued to my pc almost everyday, and now when its gone, i lost my niche. Bad news as my hard disk crashed on that fateful morning when i try to login into my pc.

"DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER"

To add matter worst, i found out there were too many sectors in my hard disk damaged. ARGH!!! More than 8GB of my songs are now gone. Don’t think im able to get them back. Perhaps things that i would like to recover most would be the pictures and photos. Thinking of those pictures that i’ve edited before and now lost, man, i took a lot of time to develop it. I don’t think i did back them up. Sigh…

Im now using my friend’s laptop to post this blog. Not to complain or to whine; just to release the boringness within me. The clock suddenly slows down. The pendulum stop. It’s gonna be a long night. Hope that i can get back my pc soon with a new hard disk upon it.

I’ll stop as for now, going out. Sien. Can’t even mapling; that’s double the "zzzzz"

Queen Elizabeth II

Monday, September 3rd, 2007

Merdeka eve mishap was indeed an unpleasant present. The driver’s eye glued with stamp. Scratch and run. Even leaving an i’m-sorry-note would be helpful, but it wasnt there. *Sob*… Pity my helpless vehicle. And my colleague joked, "Aiyah, i told you how many times d, dont park beside pretty girls mah. Pretty girls dont know how to drive one. Cause pretty girl always got people fetch. LOL."

Speechless… What a comment.

Moving on to Queen Elizabeth II, better known as QEII. Its located at town near Jetty; beside Hai Nan Restaurant to be more precise. The usual place that suffocate with dullness at night, suddenly seems lifely and energetic.

Its a pub that provide you with different kind of feels. Giving you this feeling that you are boarding a cruise or something; and partying on top of it. With the semi-open-air concept, you could enjoy the cool sea breeze, night scene accompanied by ships and sampans by the harbour; high class atmosphere; and not to mention tasting the raindrops when its raining. Based on the descriptions, i guess its enough to underline how brilliant QEII is for an outing.

Not more not less, just the usual seven partying by the heaven. Since all of us are first timer in QEII, we dress ourselves in quite formal i would say. Overdress? Perhaps a little. Chemical Romance. The guys look charming and stunning while the girls look glamour and elegant. With exceptionally beautiful girls in every corner of the room, OMG, cant help by nose bleeding… where’s the tampon? F3.

Ordered Martell and two Heinekens. Some of us occupied with red-faces; drunk-y look; dizzy; high and drunk. Did i just said drunk? LOL. We took countless of photos and of cause, laughing all night long. What more can i say? Two thumbs up. It was a great night. More than the usual great of "great". Extraordinary, splendid and, and… magnificent. And, and… whatever there is in the synonyms that you could googled. Superb. And the list goes on…

Hmm, if you would to question on my departure, perhaps you should question yourself on punctuality… ^^

Reach home a little bit teng-teng (drowsy). Blurry… but still, went online. Looking back; all of us cant get enough of it.

A lovely night.
